Indonesia. Our luwak is 100% organic and 100% from wild palm civets.

 
 

WHO WE ARE:

We are Melda, Nhi, Christopher and Kevin - four friends who love coffee, traveling and meeting new people.  We believe that sharing a perfect cup of coffee with friends (both new and old) is one of the best ways to enjoy the human experience. Melda is from Indonesia, Nhi is from Vietnam and Christopher and Kevin are brothers from the United States. Christopher met Nhi and Melda in Vietnam while of course, sharing a cup of coffee. Melda owns the Kaya Kopi farm and produces Kopi Luwak, and when she shared it with Nhi and Christopher they were instantly hooked.  We all searched for Luwak that was as good as Melda's, however, what they found was sub-par; either it was mass produced with no regard for animal wellness or produced to maximize profits at the expense of quality coffee. 


Being coffee aficionados, we knew we had to share Kaya Kopi Luwak with their friends and family, so Melda began sending small amounts to the USA and Vietnam. When we started to get orders through word of mouth, we knew they needed a better way to share their coffee.  Hence, this website was formed. Today, we are happy to have shared Kaya Kopi Luwak with thousands of individuals across the world!

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Due to the wild popularity of Kopi Luwak, several plantations have taken to farm raising palm civets, sometimes in deplorable conditions. Not only does this result in inferior coffee, it is also inhumane. At Kaya Kopi, all of our civets are wild and live a healthy life. Furthermore, our coffee comes from the Pangalangan Highlands of West Java, Indonesia, the original and best location to produce Kopi Luwak.

As a small scale organization, we are committed to each of our customers on a personal level. Our goal is to provide you with the best cup of coffee possible and enjoy all the little things. We will respond within 24 hours to any questions, comments or concerns!
